Seppeltsfield is a magnificent National Trust listed winery in the Barossa Valley which had suffered neglect under years of corporate ownership. New proprietor and winemaker Warren Randall was passionate about bringing Seppeltsfield back to life. The winery’s polite and conservative label did not reflect the dynamic aspirations for the rebirth of this Barossa landmark. From the Seppeltsfield archives we found the original trade mark and got inspiration from the days when unusual label shapes and vibrant colours were commonplace. The new packaging for Seppeltsfield oozes heritage but in a commanding, confident and totally original way.
Whenever I see a new wine label I think to myself, “Can I see this label being around in 20 or 30 years?” In most cases, no I can’t… [but]the new branding for Seppeltsfield I think is sensational.
