Our client wanted to launch a premium Tasmanian bench-pressed cider. The packaging had to communicate both the purity of the fruit as well as the quality of the cidermaking. Above all, it had to be quintessentially Tasmanian. Unique to Tasmania, and only found in wilderness areas, the elusive Tasmanian Devil was the inspiration for the brand. The dark and mysterious name, along with the singular black and white design, instantly links to Tasmania’s most famous icon.
The black glass bottle not only reflects the brand name but creates a dramatic super-premium shelf presence in the crowded craft cider category. Small touches such as messaging on the underside of the cap adds a level of intrigue and reinforces the brand’s cidermaking credentials.
